Defense/Special teams

The Vikings defense must be rostered in 2020. Minnesota finished fifth among defenses in fantasy points last season. They totaled 17 interceptions, 14 fumble recoveries, and 48 sacks. They averaged 8.3 fantasy points per week.

The defense in Minnesota got better this week. They sent a second round pick and conditional fifth round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for premiere pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue.

This was a team that has 48 sacks in 2019, which was tied for fifth in the NFL. Adding Ngakoue to the equation takes them to the next level immediately.

Defenses are never drafted early in fantasy. When the time comes during your draft, the Vikings should be considered as high as the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots. This is an elite defense that is going to show up week in and week out.
