The second week of the 2020 NFL season was an exciting one to watch, but injuries sadly dominated the headlines. With all of the marquee names that suffered injuries in Week 2, there will be plenty of roster moves made in fantasy football leagues in the coming days.
Altogether, both Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley — the consensus top-two picks in most fantasy football drafts — sustained injuries this past Sunday. McCaffrey is expected to miss multiple weeks with a high-ankle sprain while Barkley is going to be sidelined for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.
Besides the unfortunate ailments for McCaffrey and Barkley, Drew Lock, Raheem Mostert, Courtland Sutton, Davante Adams, and Cam Akers could all miss time due to injury. Taking that into account, it will be vital to put together a formidable starting lineup in Week 3 as some of the key contributors could be in street clothes.
In this weekly article, we will decipher the players that you should consider starting or sitting in your respective leagues. We will refrain from listing any obvious names that should be must-start options in fantasy football week-to-week.
All of the decisions made in this piece will be based on PPR scoring and can be used in season-long or DFS fantasy leagues. While we hope to have fewer injuries take place in Week 3, here are the players you should consider inserting into your starting lineup, or the ones you should place on your bench for the week.
