Fantasy Football: Position-by-Position Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Picks for Week 14

WRs to start in Week 14

Buccaneers’ Chris Godwin (vs. Vikings): Once again, the Buccaneers had a bye week to build upon their chemistry on offense. With that in mind, Chris Godwin should continue being the go-to target for Brady in the passing attack. Godwin has posted 15+ fantasy points in three straight games while also seeing a total of 25 targets in that span. That bodes well for Godwin in fantasy football, who gets to play the Vikings, who have allowed 19 receiving touchdowns (tied most in the NFL) and 8.8 yards per attempt (tied for sixth-most in the NFL) to WRs this season.

Titans’ Corey Davis (vs. Jaguars): Everyone knows how remarkable A.J. Brown has been for the Titans in his first two seasons in the NFL. However, Corey Davis has also been one of the most consistent options in fantasy football this season. Davis has scored double-digit fantasy points in every game he’s started in, including a stellar 35.2-point performance in Week 13. The former first-round pick should continue his success against the Jaguars this week, who have surrendered 41.32 fantasy points (sixth-most in the NFL) per game and 9.3 yards per attempt (tied for second-most in the NFL) to WRs.

Panthers’ Robby Anderson (vs. Broncos): The Carolina Panthers are dealing with some COVID-19 issues as they’ve placed D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel on the COVID-19 reserve list. Therefore, Moore and Samuel’s statuses for Sunday are up in the air at this moment. If both of them are inactive, then Robby Anderson becomes the definitive No. 1 option in the passing attack. Even if they do play, Anderson is worth starting this week. Not to mention, the Denver Broncos are expected to lose A.J. Bouye to a suspension, leaving them shorthanded in the secondary.

Other WRs to consider in Week 14: Colts’ T.Y. Hilton (vs. Raiders), Chargers’ Mike Williams (vs. Falcons), Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb (vs. Bengals), Texans’ Keke Coutee (vs. Bears), Jets’ Jamison Crowder (vs. Seahawks)

WRs to sit in Week 14

Raiders’ Henry Ruggs (vs. Colts): Henry Ruggs was part of the head-scratching play that led the Raiders to a late-game victory over the Jets in Week 13, keeping New York’s hopes of securing the No. 1 pick alive. Without the lucky touchdown at the end of the game, Ruggs would have had only 3.8 fantasy points against the hapless Jets. And following his so-so outing against New York, he’ll face a stingy Colts defense that has conceded 140 receptions (tied for fifth-fewest in the NFL) and 10 touchdowns (tied for sixth-fewest in the NFL) to WRs.

Browns’ Jarvis Landry (vs. Ravens): Jarvis Landry has put together back-to-back weeks where he’s proven to be the No. 1 target for Baker Mayfield. The veteran wideout has caught 16 passes for 205 yards and a two touchdowns in the past two weeks while drawing 21 targets. However, both those games came against awful secondaries in the Titans and the Jaguars. As for this week, he’ll go up against Marlon Humphrey and the Baltimore Ravens, who have allowed eight touchdowns and 9.8 yards per completion (both are the second-fewest in the NFL).
