Fantasy Football: Position-by-Position Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Picks for Week 4

The fourth week of the NFL season is set to get underway on Thursday in a game between the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos that is sure to have it’s entertaining moments — for better or worse. Even though there aren’t many players worth starting in fantasy football playing on Thursday, it’s never too early to begin pondering who you should start or sit in your lineups.

In Week 3, it was another week filled with outstanding performances, with 10 players eclipsing the 30-point threshold in full-point PPR leagues. Furthermore, for the first time in the 2020 season, there were two players that recorded 40 or more fantasy points (Alvin Kamara, Patrick Mahomes).

Both Kamara and Mahomes are familiar faces near the top of the scoring list, but there were some newcomers as well that put together impressive outings. For instance, rookies James Robinson and Justin Jefferson posted 30.9 and 30.5 fantasy points respectively in Week 3 despite both of their teams losing.

With Week 3 now behind us, it’s now time to decipher who to insert into your starting lineups or place on the bench this week. Before we discuss the best start or sit options, it’s important to note that all of the decisions made in this article are based on PPR scoring and can be used in season-long or DFS leagues.

While everyone can’t hold their excitement to watch Sam Darnold versus Brett Rypien on Thursday night, here are some start/sit candidates for Week 4, sans the obvious choices like Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson.
