TEs to start in Week 4

Lions’ T.J. Hockenson (vs. Saints): Once again, the Lions could see some success through the air against the Saints this week. While New Orleans does a good job slowing down opposing WRs, they can’t say the same when it comes to TEs.

Entering Week 4, the Saints have given up 29 receptions, 290 yards, and four touchdowns to TEs, which are all the most in the NFL. Given that, T.J. Hockenson is shaping up to have a busy day for the Lions as Detroit looks to extend their winning streak to two games.

Washington’s Logan Thomas (vs. Ravens): It is not a secret that Washington lacks offensive firepower outside of McClaurin. However, Thomas has been a bright spot for a Washington offense that has looked rather lackluster to begin the season.

Besides McLaurin, Thomas has seen the second-most targets in the offense, with him garnering 7+ targets in each of the first three weeks. Even though Washington is going to be heavy underdogs against the Ravens in Week 4, Baltimore has struggled with TEs, allowing 18.83 points per game to them this season (fourth-most in the NFL).

Other TEs to consider in Week 4: Cowboys’ Dalton Schultz (vs. Browns), Packers’ Robert Tonyan (vs. Falcons), Bengals’ Drew Sample (vs. Jaguars)

TEs to sit in Week 4

Bears’ Jimmy Graham (vs. Colts): When Foles is the quarterback of a team, it is usually wise to assume his TE will see more usage in the offense. Jimmy Graham was able to catch a touchdown from Trubisky in the first half of Chicago’s comeback win over the Falcons, then a second-half touchdown from Foles.

Both Foles and Graham seem to be a connection to keep an eye on moving forward, but playing him this week seems like a risky move. The Colts have given up only six receptions for 32 yards and 3.07 fantasy points per game to opposing TEs this season, which are all best in the NFL.

Seahawks’ Greg Olsen (vs. Dolphins): Telling how Wilson is throwing the ball for the Seahawks, it’s hard not to play everyone that has a pulse in their offense. Though, Greg Olsen could be one of Seattle’s players that could be worth benching in Week 4 versus the Dolphins.

The longtime TE has caught nine passes for 85 yards and one touchdown in his first three weeks with the Seahawks. And as much as Seattle could slaughter the Dolphins with their high-octane passing attack, the Dolphins have surrendered just 5.03 fantasy points per game to TEs this season.
