Fantasy Football: Predicting the 2020 season for Zack Moss

Zack Moss In The Frank Gore Role

Bills general manager Brandon Beane has said he envisions Moss playing a similar role to what Gore did last year. So what does that mean?

Gore got the aforementioned (and team-leading) 166 carries in 2019, but contributed little as a pass catcher (13 receptions for 100 yards). But he got 26 red zone carries, with 15 from Week 9 after Singletary had a bigger role.

Gore averaged just 3.6 yards per carry last year, so it’s a fair bet Moss can outdo that as a far younger back. Over the stretch he got the most work last year (Week 1-Week 8), Gore was RB35 in standard scoring leagues.

Fantasy Pros ADP Consensus has Moss at RB43 (standard scoring) and RB47 (PPR). Fantasy Football Calculator has him in similar range (RB49-standard and RB45-full PPR).

150 carries feels like the baseline for Moss as a rookie, with real potential for more and a good share of the red zone/goal line work regardless. A solid flex option with RB2 (or higher) upside, at a RB4 price? That’s easy to sign up for, separate from a view of Singletary’s breakout potential.

Zack Moss 2020 Projection: 170 carries for 720 yards, 6 TD; 25 receptions for 210 yards
