Fantasy Football: Ranking the top 5 PPR running backs for the 2020 season

Running backs hold enormous value in fantasy football, especially when the scoring format is PPR (points per reception). Half backs are being asked to catch balls out of the backfield more than ever in today’s NFL, giving us fans an assortment of solid options at running back for our PPR fantasy leagues.

In reality, there are 15 to 20 really fine options to go with as your starting back this year. Even some rookies like Clyde Edwards-Helaire in Kansas City and Jonathan Taylor in Indianapolis should have solid fantasy impacts in year one.

We have the obvious top tier guys like Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley, and we can’t forget some of the potential breakout stars like Miles Sanders or Austin Ekeler.

With so many choices, you’d be hard pressed so go wrong with any of those mentioned. For this list, we’re going to narrow it down to five backs who are clearly the five best options for your 2020 fantasy league.
