RBs to Start in Week 13
Broncos’ Phillip Lindsay (vs. Bengals): Phillip Lindsay has continually shown that he can be an every down back in the NFL. Being undrafted out of Colorado, Lindsay has been a phenomenal story this season. The Denver Broncos are now set on using him as their lead back, with him scoring 15 or more points in four out of his last five games. This week he gets a weak Cincinnati Bengals defense that has allowed 17 total touchdowns to RBs this season (tied most in NFL).
Packers’ Aaron Jones (vs. Cardinals): Aaron Jones is finally getting the touches he deserves within the Green Bay Packers offense. Jones has scored 16 or more points in four out of his last five contests. His match up this week makes him a must play RB again. Jones faces the Arizona Cardinals, who have allowed the second most yards to RBs and the most touchdowns to RBs this season.
Ravens’ Gus Edwards (vs. Falcons): It seems like Gus Edwards has supplanted Alex Collins as the starting RB for the Ravens, at least for the time being. Edwards has rushed for 115 or more yards in consecutive games. He gets another favorable match up this week, making him a viable option in Week 13. The Falcons allow an average of 32 points per game to opposing RBs this year (third most in NFL).
Other RBs I Like: Jaguars’ T.J. Yeldon (vs. Colts), Bears’ Jordan Howard (vs. Giants), Texans’ Lamar Miller (vs. Browns)
RBs to Sit in Week 13
Colts’ Marlon Mack (vs. Jaguars): Marlon Mack has been a nice boost on an Indianapolis Colts offense that’s lacked a run game for a few years. Mack has slowed down of late though, scoring just 33.3 points in the last three games. That isn’t terrible, but in PPR formatted leagues, that can hurt you. He gets a stingy Jacksonville Jaguars defense that allows the least amount of points to RBs this season.
Falcons’ Tevin Coleman (vs. Ravens): I’m not liking much of the Falcons offense this week besides Julio Jones. Tevin Coleman was expected to be a huge weapon after the injury to Devonta Freeman. That hasn’t held true, as Coleman has scored over 16 points just once. It’s hard to trust him this week against a Ravens defense, who allows the second least amount of points to RBs this year.
