WRs to Start in Week 13
Cowboys’ Amari Cooper (vs. Saints): Amari Cooper broke out last week, scoring 38 points on Thanksgiving. The Dallas Cowboys traded a first round pick for Cooper, putting a ton of pressure on him to succeed. So far, he’s been worth the hassle, especially on an offense that lacks weapons. Cooper faces the New Orleans Saints this week, with the Cowboys likely playing from behind, giving Cooper more opportunities. The Saints also allow the most points to WRs this season.
Titans’ Corey Davis (vs. Jets): I wish Marcus Mariota could consistently play well so Corey Davis could display his talents more often. Davis is the only consistent threat through the air for the Tennessee Titans. Last week was his third game of scoring more than 23 points. This week he squares off against a New York Jets defense, that allows 40.9 points per game to WRs (fifth most in NFL).
Panthers’ D.J. Moore (vs. Buccaneers): D.J. Moore is continually improving his role in the Carolina Panthers offense. In the last two weeks, Moore has totaled 46.5 points. With the injury to Devin Funchess, he has been asked to step into a more prominent role. If Funchess is out once again, Moore is in must play territory this week. He gets the Buccaneers who have allowed 17 touchdowns to WRs this year (tied second most in NFL).
Other WRs I Like: Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald (vs. Packers), Broncos’ Emmanuel Sanders (vs. Bengals), Texans’ Demaryius Thomas (vs. Browns)
WRs to Sit in Week 13
Dolphins WRs (vs. Bills): I don’t like any of the Miami Dolphins this week against the Buffalo Bills. With Ryan Tannehill back from injury the passing game was expected to improve a little. It didn’t, as Danny Amendola, Kenny Stills and Devante Parker all combined for 5 receptions for 29 yards in Week 12. This week they face the Buffalo Bills who have allowed just 1,357 yards to WRs this season (least in NFL).
Bears’ Allen Robinson (vs. Giants): Even if Mitchell Trubisky suits up this week, I’m not a big fan of Allen Robinson in Week 13. Robinson has been shaky this year, scoring less than 10 points four times this season. The Bears will likely look to control the game on the ground and with their defense. The New York Giants are good against the pass, allowing just seven touchdowns to WRs this season (tied least in NFL).
