RBs to Start in Week 14
Packers’ Aaron Jones (vs. Falcons): With the firing of Mike McCarthy, I expect a heavier dosage of Aaron Jones. Jones has been phenomenal in recent weeks, scoring a touchdown in five out of his last six games. He gets a RB-friendly match up this week as well. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed at least 21 fantasy points to a RB in every week but one.
Ravens’ Gus Edwards (vs. Chiefs): Since Gus Edwards has taken over at RB, the Baltimore Ravens have run the ball very effectively. Edwards has rushed for 315 yards in the last three weeks. If he scores a touchdown he is instantly fantasy relevant, which he will likely be against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs allow 32.4 points per game to opposing RBs (2nd most in NFL).
Chargers’ Austin Ekeler (vs. Bengals): Austin Ekeler only remains in this spot if Melvin Gordon remains out with injury. Ekeler disappointed in Week 13, scoring just 9.3 points. The good thing is, he gets a very nice match up in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have allowed 28 or more points to RBs in each of the last four weeks.
Other RBs I Like: Redskins’ Adrian Peterson (vs. Giants), Patriots’ James White (vs. Dolphins), Vikings’ Dalvin Cook (vs. Seahawks)
RBs to Sit in Week 14
Chiefs’ Spencer Ware (vs. Ravens): With the release of Kareem Hunt, Spencer Ware was expected to flourish in the Chiefs offense. That failed to happen, as Ware finished with 12.2 points in Week 13. The Chiefs recently brought back Charcandrick West, who could end up taking the starting job. Ware also faces the Ravens, who have allowed the least amount of points to RBs this season.
Titans’ Dion Lewis (vs. Jaguars): Dion Lewis is a hard RB to trust in fantasy this year. Lewis is on a Tennessee Titans offense that is very inconsistent. He also loses touches to Derrick Henry, which causes frustration for Lewis owners. Lewis gets a tough match up in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars allow the second least amount of points to RBs this season.
