TEs to Start in Week 16
Falcons’ Austin Hooper (vs. Panthers): Austin Hooper could see a larger target share in Week 16, especially with Julio Jones being injured. Hooper has been one of the better options at a thin TE position. He has scored the sixth most points among TEs this year. Hooper gets the Carolina Panthers in Week 16, who have allowed 15.5 points per game to TEs this season (the third most in the NFL).
Raiders’ Jared Cook (vs. Broncos): Jared Cook is another TE who has been a trustworthy option this season. Cook has scored 11 or more points in four out of his last five games. With the Oakland Raiders lacking weapons, Cook can be trusted to get targets. Cook will square off against the Oakland Raiders, who have allowed six or more catches to TEs in five out of their last seven games.
TEs to Sit in Week 16
Packers’ Jimmy Graham (vs. Jets): Jimmy Graham continues to be a failed experiment for the Green Bay Packers. Graham hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 9 and has caught more than three passes just once since then. It doesn’t get any easier for Graham in Week 16, where he faces the New York Jets. The Jets have allowed just 8.6 points per game to TEs this year (the third least in the NFL).
Vikings’ Kyle Rudolph (vs. Lions): Kyle Rudolph has seemingly been forgotten in the Vikings offense since Kirk Cousins joined the team. Rudolph has just two touchdowns this year, with his last one coming in Week 3. I don’t expect his role to change in Week 16 against the Lions, who have allowed 6.1 points or less in their last four games.
