Fantasy Football: Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Recommendations for Week 3

With two weeks of the 2018 season in the books, let’s break down some fantasy football start ’ems and sit ’ems for Week 3’s slate of games, shall we?

We are now through two weeks already in the NFL regular season. It was another week filled with highlight-worthy plays. There were also fantastic performances around the league, making it a fantastic week for fantasy football.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes really showed out in Week 2, throwing for six touchdowns in a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He turned 23 years old on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is keeping the “Fitzmagic” alive and well, throwing for another four touchdowns in a win. That’s two straight weeks of 400 or more yards and four touchdowns from Fitzpatrick.

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas had another strong showing, getting 12 receptions for 89 yards and two touchdowns. That gives him 28 receptions through two weeks (most through first two weeks in NFL history).

Meanwhile, running back Todd Gurley had a three-touchdown day in a rout, with the Los Angeles Rams winning 34-0 over the Arizona Cardinals. He is tied for the league lead in touchdowns with Cincinnati Bengals wideout A.J. Green (both have four touchdowns).

Performances like these help fantasy players come out with a W in their leagues. Let’s hope for more success going forward this year. Again, I make my decisions based on PPR (points per reception) scoring. My picks can also be used in DFS (daily fantasy sports) as well, if you prefer to play that over season long.

Let’s dive into who I like or don’t like in Week 3.
