QBs to Start in Week 7
Bengals’ Andy Dalton (vs. Chiefs): Andy Dalton comes in as one of my favorite QBs to start this week. Dalton comes in as the 13th highest scoring QB in fantasy, but has a remarkable match up this week. The Kansas City Chiefs have allowed 20 or more fantasy points to QBs in five out of their six games.
Rams’ Jared Goff (vs. 49ers): Jared Goff has struggled the last couple of weeks. He could be in for a bounce-back week, as he faces a San Francisco 49ers team who struggles stopping the pass. The 49ers have allowed 14 touchdowns through the air, which is the third most in the NFL.
Falcons’ Matt Ryan (vs. Giants): Matt Ryan has been very good in fantasy this season. Ryan currently ranks as the second highest scoring QB in fantasy. The stats don’t point me to playing Ryan, as the New York Giants have actually been solid against the pass. The Giants are a mess right now and I see that continuing this week.
Other QBs I Like: Browns’ Baker Mayfield (vs. Buccaneers), Panthers’ Cam Newton (vs. Eagles)
QBs to Sit in Week 7
Buccaneers’ Jameis Winston (vs. Browns): Jameis Winston was a phenomenal fill-in QB this past week. Winston shouldn’t be your QB, unless you’re in a deeper league and struggling at QB. This week he faces the Cleveland Browns, who have nine interceptions this year (Tied third most in the NFL).
Redskins’ Alex Smith (vs. Cowboys): Alex Smith is usually a safe option at QB in fantasy, because he limits turnovers. The problem with him though, is he will rarely put up enough points to be fantasy relevant. This week is no exception, as he faces a Dallas Cowboys defense who have allowed just nine passing touchdowns.
