WRs to Start in Week 7
Browns’ Jarvis Landry (vs. Buccaneers): Jarvis Landry has struggled getting on the same page as Mayfield. Since Week 4 (first Mayfield start), Landry has been targeted 29 times, with just 11 receptions. This week look for him to bounce back against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team who have allowed 10 receiving touchdowns this season (tied second most in the NFL).
Patriots’ Julian Edelman (vs. Bears): Julian Edelman looks like the favorite option for Tom Brady again. In two weeks since returning from suspension, Edelman has 11 receptions and a touchdown. This week he faces a Chicago Bears defense who just allowed Brock Osweiler to throw for 380 yards.
Rams’ Brandin Cooks (vs. 49ers): Brandin Cooks had a rough go the last two weeks. He suffered a concussion in Week 5, then faced a strong Broncos secondary in less than stellar weather conditions. This week he gets a 49ers secondary who allows 38.7 points per game to opposing WRs. Cooper Kupp has also been ruled out, giving Cooks more opportunities to make plays.
Other WRs I Like: Rams’ Robert Woods (vs. 49ers), Bengals’ Tyler Boyd (vs. Chiefs), Panthers’ Devin Funchess (vs. Eagles), Ravens’ John Brown (vs. Saints)
WRs to Sit in Week 7
Texans’ Will Fuller (vs. Jaguars): It seemed at the start of the season that Will Fuller would be in for another huge year. After scoring 61.3 points in Weeks 2-4, he’s scored just 8.8 points since. It doesn’t look good this week either, with his match up against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have allowed just four touchdowns to WRs this season.
Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas (vs. Cardinals): Demaryius Thomas is clearly the second option at WR for the Broncos now. With Emmanuel Sanders being Case Keenum‘s favorite target, it’s hard to trust Thomas in an offense that struggles to throw the football. He also faces an Arizona Cardinals defense that has given up just two touchdowns to WRs (least in the NFL).
