Quarterbacks
Tom Brady (New England Patriots), Fantasy Points Last Season: 295.9
This is an easy choice because of the consistency and elite level of play Tom Brady has shown for 15+ years. Last year Brady had 4,557 yards, 32 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions. Brady did this at 40 years old and has shown no signs of slowing down any time soon. Brady collected his third NFL MVP Award last season and he will be on a mission in 2018-2019 to avenge the loss the Patriots suffered in the Super Bowl last year. The arguable G.O.A.T has lost a few weapons in Danny Amendola, Dion Lewis, and Julian Edelman for the first few games but he’s always been able to put up huge numbers no matter who lined up next to him. Look for Brady to have another 30+ touchdown, 4,000+ yard season. If you’re looking for consistency, play it smart and take Brady.
Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers), Fantasy Points Last Season: 129.6
Aaron Rodgers is another guy that’s consistently been an elite quarterback in the NFL for a while now. Last year, Rodgers ended the year as the 29th quarterback in scoring at 129.6 points. That is only because he missed nine games last season due to injury. This season he comes back healthy and with a new toy to play with in Jimmy Graham. If Rodgers can stay healthy this season, look for him to fight for the spot of being the highest scoring QB in fantasy football.
Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints), Fantasy Points Last Season: 262.6
Drew Brees, like Tom Brady, is playing at an unbelievable level in the later years of his career. Brees had a down year (yes a down year) last year, even though he still played great. Last year was the first season since 2009 that he didn’t have 4,600+ yards and 30+ touchdowns. I think he’ll eclipse both of those this season, especially with the emergence of a weapon like Alvin Kamara on the offense. The first three QBs I’ve listed are the three you’ll want if you’re taking a QB early.
