Fantasy Football: What to expect from Colts’ Jonathan Taylor in Week 2

The Indianapolis Colts will face off with the Minnesota Vikings during the NFL’s Week 2 slate. During that matchup, it will mark the first career start for running back Jonathan Taylor — presenting a real opportunity for fantasy football players.

The Colts will be forced to turn to Taylor more in their offense because Marlon Mack suffered a season-ending torn Achilles injury. Taylor will now be able to showcase his potential in a larger role.

It was a struggle for Taylor to get going in his first NFL game. He received more carries (9) than the rest of the Colts’ backfield but finished with just 22 rushing yards. He ended up averaging an underwhelming 2.4 yards per carry.

The expectations are much higher for Taylor than what he displayed against the Jaguars. However, he’s still getting acclimated to the NFL level. Will he be able to ramp up his production after a disappointing debut?

With that being said, let’s take a look at the fantasy football outlook for Colts running back Jonathan Taylor in Week 2.
