Fantasy Football: Which Dolphins RB should you target in 2020?

The Miami Dolphins are among the teams in the NFL that have had their backfield be a topic of discussion in the fantasy football community this offseason. Will Jordan Howard be the guy to own in Miami’s backfield? Or will Matt Breida emerge as the running back to have on the Dolphins?

Even Kalen Ballage, Myles Gaskin, or Patrick Laird could find themselves garnering touches in the upcoming season. In all likeliness though, the touches will mostly be divvied up between Howard and Breida.

Early in free agency, Miami didn’t waste much time inking a two-year, $10 deal with Howard. Then, during the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dolphins would proceed to trade a fifth-round pick to acquire Breida from the San Francisco 49ers.

Just a season ago, Howard began the 2019 season as the starting running back of the Philadelphia Eagles. But due to a shoulder ailment, Howard would lose his starting job to rookie Miles Sanders. On the other hand, Breida was part of San Francisco’s deep running back room in 2019 that included Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman.

Regardless of what happened last season, both Howard and Breida could have a chance to be key contributors in Miami’s offensive attack this season. So which one should you target in fantasy football drafts for the 2020 season?
