Former NFL Star Predicts Bengals Will Make The Super Bowl

Joe Burrow, Bengals, Cincinnati Bengals

Who would have predicted at the beginning of the season that the Cincinnati Bengals would make a run to the NFL Playoffs? Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase were a big part of the reason, but the team as a whole has been impressive. Not only have they made the playoffs, but many view them as a potential sleeper Super Bowl contender.

Very few teams boast the kind of offensive firepower that the Bengals have. Burrow is one of the top rising superstars in the league and the same could be said about Chase. Having Joe Mixon in the backfield isn’t too bad either.

Former NFL star running back Maurice Jones-Drew made waves when talking about the Bengals. He has picked them to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

“To be honest, I’m going to say this, I have Cincinnati going to the Super Bowl…That’s how excited I am about this team. They remind me of the Chiefs. When the Chiefs came out of nowhere, a young quarterback, second year, hot receivers…”

Jones-Drew isn’t by himself with those thoughts. Many fans and media members are feeling the same way. They may not be predicting a Super Bowl run for the Bengals, but a deep run is a fairly wide opinion.

Looking from the outside in, the Bengals have what it takes to be a contender. They don’t have a ton of experience, but that could actually be a positive. This team is simply going to go in, play the game, and have fun.

Right off the bat, the Bengals will find out a bit about what they’re made of in the playoffs. They will play a home game, but will take on the talented Las Vegas Raiders. That isn’t going to be an easy game and it will be interesting to see how they respond to a playoff atmosphere.

With all of that being said, the Bengals will open up their playoffs on Saturday afternoon. It will be interesting to see how this young and dynamic team looks.
