Former NFL star thinks Packers are best team in the league

The Green Bay Packers are coming off of a massive 17-0 shutout win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10. With that win, they moved to 8-2 on the season and are currently at the top of the NFC standings. In fact, the Packers are tied with the Tennessee Titans for the best record in the entire NFL so far this season.

One former NFL star, Jeff Saturday, spoke out on Tuesday and boldly stated that he thinks the Packers are the best team in the league this season.

With the way they have played so far this season, that is a very arguable point. Aaron Rodgers has played very well and the Packers’ defense has become one of the best in the NFL. Add in the playmakers the Green Bay offense features and they are without question one of the top contenders in the league.

There are some concerns surrounding the Packers right now, especially on the injury front. Just this past week alone, the Packers saw Aaron Jones go down with an ACL sprain and also saw Rashan Gary and Whitney Mercilus get hurt. Mercilus’ injury seems likely to keep him out for the rest of the season.

Green Bay will have to continue proving that they are the top team in the league moving forward. Next up in Week 11, the Packers will hit the road for a tough matchup against the arch-rival Minnesota Vikings. A win next week would put them in perfect position to take the NFC North division without much competition.

Outside of the Packers, the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are serious contenders in the NFC. The Los Angeles Rams could make some noise as well.

Expect to see Rodgers and the Packers continue playing elite level football moving forward. This could be a very special season with the way the team has come together and played.
