The New York Giants improved their record to 4-8 on the regular season by winning in Week 13. They defeated the Chicago Bears 30-27 in overtime.
Aldrick Rosas hit a 44-yard field goal that gave New York the lead with 5:57 remaining in overtime. The Giants defense would step up and stop the Bears offense from scoring. Janoris Jenkins broke up a pass downfield intended for Taylor Gabriel.
The game started off fast for the Giants with a pick-six from Alec Ogletree on the second play of the game. It was the second pick-six by Ogeltree in the last three weeks of the regular season.
The game started in the Giants favor—just like it seemed in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles. New York got off to a 24-14 lead in the third-quarter. The Bears would claw their ways back to making it 27-24 with 1:13 left remaining in regulation.
Chicago would then kick the onside-kick and recover it. The Bears would the drive downfield and score a touchdown to send the game to overtime. Of course the Giants would come out on top, with the kick from Rosas.
There were a few players from the Giants that stepped up and helped New York secure the win.
