No. 1: The Giants Will Score 30 Points and Win
Last season was a complete disaster from the start for the Giants.
The Giants lost in their first game last season, 19-3 to their division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. From then on, they struggled to ever get in sync. That is why they ended the year at 3-13 and had the second pick in this year’s draft.
The Giants want to bounce back in a huge way this season.
This year should prove to be a better one with the offseason the Giants had. The thing is, championships aren’t won by how your team looks on paper. You have to perform at a high level as a complete team and execute to near perfection.
Ask the Patriots how they’ve been able to maintain their success. Someone like Manning knows what it will take to reach the grandest stage in football.
Last year, the Giants were unable to put 30 points up on the scoreboard in any game. On the other side, the Jaguars allowed more than 30 points just twice.
Something’s got to budge.
The Jaguars are a very stingy defense that rarely allows an offense to get in a rhythm, causing chaos for offenses across the NFL. The Giants will need to set the tone from the first snap of the game.
I believe the Giants come out swinging in Week 1, racking up 30 points on the AFC’s best defense from last year. If they come in with a balanced attack on the ground and through the air, there’s a good chance we see a W in Week 1 for the team in blue. A win in Week 1 would prove to be very monumental for this team and would send a message to fans in New York that the Giants are on the right track.
