Bradford Limits Turnovers
One of the biggest issues for Manning at this point of his career, is turning the ball over. Since 2013, Manning has thrown 90 interceptions (most in the NFL in that span).
This season, Manning has struggled mightily, throwing for 2,377 yards, just eight touchdowns and six interceptions. In an offense that is filled with excellent talent, those stats are very disappointing.
When you’re 1-7, with nothing to lose, why not make a change at quarterback? Kyle Lauletta ruined his chances by getting arrested this past week, but other guys besides Manning should be given an opportunity.
That’s where Bradford comes into the picture. I know most fans have this perception of Bradford that he is an awful NFL quarterback.
I might be in the minority, but I don’t find that true at all. If he didn’t suffer so many injuries, Bradford had a good chance of becoming something special.
Even now, he’s not exactly a franchise quarterback, but he’s still a serviceable quarterback in the NFL. He also is a guy who has limited turnovers his whole career.
In his career, Bradford has 103 touchdowns and 61 interceptions. He has never had a season where he threw more than 15 interceptions.
Manning, on the other hand, has had seven such seasons, even throwing 27 interceptions once.
The Giants should consider signing Bradford after he clears waivers, due to his ability to protect the ball.
