Giants: 4 early targets New York should already be watching

The New York Giants are in the best shape out of any of the teams in the NFC East when it comes to cap space.

Entering into the 2020 offseason, Dave Gettleman had $73 million in cap to work with after using his first two years to shed out some of the bigger deals. Gettleman didn’t exactly break the bank this offseason, so the Giants have a projected $48 million in space for 2021. And, if Gettleman can get rid of Nate Solder and Golden Tate, that money goes up to $68 million.

The 2020 season will be pivotal for the Big Blue, as it will be the second season for QB Daniel Jones to develop and a lot of Gettleman’s draft picks will get a chance to show their worth. If the young players can evolve into everyday role players, then Gettleman can be aggressive and land a couple of big splashes in free agency to get the Gants one step closer to be contenders again.

With that in mind, here are four early 2021 free agent targets the Giants should already be watching.
