Green Bay Packers: 3 Biggest Concerns Following Week 3 Loss vs. Redskins

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Is Green Bay’s Offensive Line Really That Bad?

Finally, the Packers have to be concerned about the way that their offensive line has performed so far this season. Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the league and protecting him should be Green Bay’s top priority. Unfortunately, the line is not getting the job done.

Against the Redskins last week, the Packers’ offensive line allowed four sacks. Rodgers usually is able to escape pressure, but with the knee injury is a sitting duck in the pocket most of the time.

If the Packers’ O-Line continues to pay at its current level, Rodgers is going to take a beating. He isn’t getting any younger and Green Bay simply cannot afford to let defenses take free shots at their quarterback.

Mike McCarthy and Brian Gutekunst need to figure something out when it comes to the offensive line. Either figure out a way to get more out of the current line or add another player that can help.
