Randall Cobb, Wide Receiver
First and foremost, Randall Cobb deserves a lot of credit for the way he has started the season. At one point in the offseason, it appeared likely that he wouldn’t even be on the roster. Cobb was talked about as a potential cap casualty for the Packers before they ultimately decided to release Jordy Nelson.
Even after the Nelson release, rumors were swirling that Green Bay could trade Cobb. They decided to hold on to him for at least one more year.
Cobb has caught 13 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown in two games. Those numbers show exactly why new general manager Brian Gutekunst decided to give him another season.
Rodgers and Cobb have top-notch chemistry and Cobb will be a major factor in the Packers’ hopes to contend for a Super Bowl appearance.
