Jamaal Williams vs. the Vikings’ Rushing Defense

If the Packers are going to come out of their game against the Vikings with a win, they will need the running game to get something going. Jamaal Williams is the Packers’ best running back and it will his job to figure something out on that front.

Even if Rodgers is able to play, he will not be able to win this game by himself. His arm can only do so much, especially against a team with a dangerous pass rush and a playmaking secondary. Williams will be asked to pick up chunks of yardage and some hard-fought first downs throughout the game.

There is no question that the Packers have the talent to get their ground game going this week. Williams was a major bright spot for Green Bay last season, but now he needs to show that it wasn’t a fluke.

Williams and the Packers are hoping to start 2-0 against the NFC North and put themselves in the driver’s seat. The running game has been an issue for a few years now, but Williams and company have a chance to put that “fact” to bed this week with a big performance.
