Green Bay Packers: 3 Players Poised to Break Out in 2018

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Geronimo Allison, Wide Receiver

Green Bay will need a receiver to step up alongside Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. That receiver is going to be Geronimo Allison.

After an impressive season last year in limited playing time, Allison showed off an impressive skill-set. He seemed to have some chemistry with Aaron Rodgers when they two were able to play with each other. Allison will have even more opportunity in 2018 to show that chemistry and his skill-set.

During the 2018 season, Allison ended up catching 23 passes for 253 yards. In the comeback game for Rodgers in Week 15 against the Carolina Panthers, Allison caught five passes for 33 yards. His season may not have been amazing, but that is why he is in the potential breakout category.

Standing in at 6-foot-3 with impressive athleticism and hands, Allison projects to have a big role in 2018. He will have to prove himself during training camp and in preseason action, but 2018 might be the year that shows he is a capable playmaker at the NFL level.
