Bashaud Breeland, Cornerback

Green Bay made the move to sign Bashaud Breeland a few weeks back in hopes that he could become a difference maker later in the season. That is exactly what he now has the chance to be. After trading star safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Breeland has been given the green light to start and play a big role.

In his first two games with the Packers, Breeland has recorded 10 tackles to go along with an interception and a defended pass.

There have been a few times that he has gotten burned or looked a bit confused in the Packers’ system, but Mike Pettine has used him well. As he gets back into game action, Breeland will continue getting better.

Breeland is going to be asked to handle a large role the rest of the way. Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson are excellent talents, but Breeland has the experience. He is going to need to step up and make some big plays to help Green Bay get into the postseason.
