The Denver Broncos have gotten off to a hellish start this season, losing their first three games and most recently suffering a thoroughly humiliating 70-20 defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.
With the Broncos resembling anything but contenders thus far, some are wondering if they will begin to sell off some pieces between now and the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline.
Some are speculating that wide receiver Jerry Jeudy could be on the move.
Denver entertained trade discussions for Jeudy during the offseason, but the club maintained a high asking price for him and rebuffed any offers it received.
However, the Broncos might be more willing to accept a lesser return as we head into October.
Jeudy still has a year left on his deal after this year, which certainly makes him more attractive to potential suitors. It also could make Denver more hesitant to move him, but on the other side of the coin, the return for Jeudy would surely be greater now than it would be a year from now.
Max Dible of Heavy.com feels that the Green Bay Packers should get involved in trade talks for Jeudy if the Broncos do make him available.
The Packers have a young stable of receivers, but they could certainly use another talent in that group. While Jeudy has not proven he is a No. 1 guy, he is still very talented and approached a 1,000-yard campaign last season when he registered 972 yards.
Green Bay probably would not be required to part with a first-round pick for Jeudy who, again, has not yet displayed that he is a No. 1 receiver. Considering young quarterback Jordan Love needs all of the options he can get, it would certainly be worth it for the Packers to explore trading for Jeudy, who could represent a relatively cheap addition to the roster (key word: relatively).
