It has been a wild ride for Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love through the first three weeks of 2023.

The young quarterback entered the season under mounds of pressure, as he was getting set to fill the shoes of future Hall-of-Fame signal-caller Aaron Rodgers, who had been under center for the club since 2008.

While there have certainly been some growing pains for Love early on, one cannot deny that he has flashed considerable potential in the Packers’ 2-1 start.

On Sunday, Love led Green Bay back from a 17-0 fourth-quarter deficit against the New Orleans Saints, ultimately pulling out an 18-17 win.

Perhaps most notably, Love did it without several key pieces.

The Packers were without running back Aaron Jones, wide receiver Christian Watson and left tackle David Bakhtiari, all of whom were nursing respective injuries.

While Love struggled through the first three quarters, he came to life in the final frame, throwing a crucial touchdown pass and putting together multiple impressive drives to cap off a thrilling victory for Green Bay in front of a raucous crowd at Lambeau Field.

Love ended up going 22-for-44 with 259 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the win.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Utah State, was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Now in his first season as the club’s full-time starter, Jordan Love has certainly posted some mixed results thus far. He has thrown for 655 yards, seven touchdowns and just one pick, but he is also completing just 53.1 percent of his passes. Still, Love has displayed considerable arm talent, and he is doing all of this with a very thin receiving corps that does not house a proven No. 1 talent.

The Packers will look to build on their Week 3 win when they host the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.
