The Green Bay Packers have been relatively quiet this offseason and went radio silent after the signings of Christian Kirksey and Rick Wagner. Fans began getting worried about the offense and whether or not the Packers would bring in help at the wide receiver position.
Finally, the team went out and signed a free agent receiver. However, it was not the guy that anyone thought they would sign.
News broke on Tuesday that the Packers had signed wide receiver Devin Funchess. He spent last season with the Indianapolis Colts, but only played in one game due to the fact that he suffered a broken collarbone. In that short appearance, he caught three passes for 32 yards.
Back in 2018 with the Carolina Panthers, Funchess caught 44 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. They weren’t huge numbers but they were solid.
All of that being said, let’s take a look at a few ways Funchess could impact the Packers’ offense for superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
