Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills entered their Wild Card matchup against the New England Patriots expecting a big-time battle. What ended up happening was an old-fashioned blowout. Buffalo ended up taking home the win by a final score of 47-17.

From the opening kickoff, it was clear that the Bills were going to control this game. New England had zero answer for anything that Buffalo did. It certainly wasn’t the expected outcome, but the Bills controlled their destiny and moved on to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Speaking of the Bills’ star quarterback, Allen put together a massive performance against New England. He completed 21 of his 25 pass attempts for 308 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. Allen also picked up 66 yards on the ground.

Talk about a dominant performance when his team needed him the most. Allen is the kind of quarterback that can power a team to a Super Bowl run. Beating the Patriots was just a start to his postseason.

Pro Football Focus had nothing but good things to say about Allen following the big game. In fact, they graded his performance the best that any quarterback has played all season long.

Wow. This is just a grade, but it’s an impressive one. Pro Football Focus is very well respected and the grades they give to players and their performances carry a lot of weight.

Next up, the Bills will have an even bigger test to take. They will travel to Kansas City for a matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. Allen and the Bills may have dominated the Patriots, but the Chiefs are a completely different ball game.

If the Bills want to pull off the upset, they will need another monstrous game from Josh Allen. He needs to continue taking care of the football and making consistent big plays. Allen will also likely need to use his athleticism to make plays on the ground even more than he did against the Patriots.

This will be one of the most-watched and anticipated matchups of the Divisional Round. Watching Allen vs. Mahomes is must-watch football. It will be interesting to see what Allen has in store for Kansas City.
