Important NFL offseason dates for the Vikings in February

The NFL offseason is about to heat up now that the Super Bowl has come and gone. After putting together an impressive season in 2019 and making it to the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings know that they need to add some pieces this offseason. Kirk Cousins had a big year and there is a lot of optimism in Minnesota, but they can’t afford to just stand pat.

Looking ahead at the month of February, there are some very important dates for the Vikings to take note of. Fans should know what their team will be doing and when, so we have that information for you.

Let’s dive in and take a look at some of the most important February dates for the Vikings to begin the offseason.

Feb. 3

The waiver system begins for the 2020 NFL season.

Feb. 11

Beginning at 12:00 ET, the Vikings can sign CFL players whose contracts have expired. CFL players cannot be signed if their contracts have not expired.

Feb. 24–March 2

NFL Scouting Combine takes place in Indianapolis.

Feb. 25

The first day teams can designate Franchise or Transition players.
