Indianapolis Colts: 3 Best Performances from Week 1 vs. Bengals

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts entered their Week 1 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals hoping to prove that they were a new football team. A new head coach, a new defensive coordinator, some new talent, and having a legitimate franchise quarterback were all things that fans were excited to see.

Unfortunately, the Colts were unable to come away with a big win at home. Indianapolis ended up falling to the Bengals by a final score of 34-23. Both teams fought hard, but the Colts’ offense was unable to put up numbers in the fourth quarter.

Cincinnati sealed the game on a massive play late in the fourth. Jack Doyle caught a 13-yard pass to give the Colts a first down deep in Bengals’ territory, but a massive hit jarred the football loose. Clayton Fejedelem picked the ball up and ran 83 yards for a touchdown to put the game out of reach.

Despite the loss, there were a few bright spots for the Colts. Frank Reich won’t like the way the Colts lost the game, but he will acknowledge a few players who did their jobs extremely well in the first game of the year.

All of that being said, who were the three best performers for the Colts against the Bengals this week?
