Andrew Luck is finally back under center for the Indianapolis Colts. After playing the entire 2016 season with a torn shoulder labrum, Luck underwent surgery when the season ended. He never quite rehabbed as expected and ended up missing the entire 2017 season.
Unfortunately for the Colts, Luck’s absence resulted in an extremely frustrating 2017 season. Indianapolis finished with a 4-12 record and head coach Chuck Pagano ended up getting fired.
Chris Ballard and company entered the offseason with the belief that Luck would be ready for the 2018 season. They went out and hired offensive mastermind Frank Reich to be their new head coach after Josh McDaniels backed out of a deal for the job.
Luck is now back on the field with no limitations to begin training camp. Obviously, there was rust early on, but Luck has shown progress each day. He is expected to play in the teams preseason opener in Seattle on August 9.
With the NFL season on the horizon, here’s a look at three bold predictions for Andrew Luck in 2018.
