Indianapolis Colts: 3 Free Agents to Target in 2019

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Le’Veon Bell, Running Back

Finally, the Colts should reach deep into their pockets and bring out the money to sign superstar running back Le’Veon Bell. Marlon Mack has broken out with a solid season, but the Colts should not pass up on an opportunity to bring in a superstar like Bell because of that emergence from Mack.

Bell is arguably the best running back in the NFL. During the 2017 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bell carried the football 321 times for 1,291 yards and nine touchdowns. He also caught 85 passes for 655 yards and two touchdowns.

Bringing Bell on board would not only fix the Colts’ running game, he would also give Luck a dangerous weapon out of the backfield as a receiver.

Ballard has not made a huge splash for the Colts, but Bell would be one of the biggest free agency acquisitions for any team in the league in recent years. His time with Pittburgh has likely come to an end and the Colts need to do everything they can to bring him to Indianapolis.
