The Defense vs. Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson
After watching the Redskins’ offense dominate the Cardinals last week, it is apparent that the Colts will need to slow down the running backs. Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson both had big games against the Cardinals and will be matchup nightmares for the Colts.
Peterson is back and playing with a lot of passion after spending most of the offseason hoping for a contract. Washington decided to give him one after the season-ending injury Derrius Guice suffered and he made them happy that they chose to make that move.
In his first game with the Redskins, Peterson ended up carrying the football 26 times for 96 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 70 yards.
Thompson had a massive game as well for the Redskins, rushing for 65 yards on five carries and catching six passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Indianapolis has to find a way to keep both Peterson and Thompson in check if they want to win this week.
