The Colts Need to Accelerate the Rebuild
It’s a rebuild in Indianapolis and the Colts need to accelerate it as much as possible. After wasting some of Andrew Luck’s prime with an incompetent coaching staff and offensive line, they need to get back on track fast.
With Luck back to full health, the Colts could very well find themselves back in the playoffs this season. If they are a playoff team, their draft picks won’t be nearly as good as the past few seasons and it could prevent the Colts from getting true difference makers in the draft right away. And if you don’t think the Colts can make the playoffs with their current roster, they can; Andrew Luck is that good and he’s very capable of getting back to his winning ways in Indianapolis.
If the Colts have the chance to accelerate their rebuild and take advantage of Luck’s prime, they need to pull the trigger. Quarterbacks as talented as Luck don’t come around often and it would be a shame if he left without a Super Bowl ring because his front office couldn’t get him a good enough team.
Chris Ballard has addressed the defensive line in each of the past two drafts, but it’s hard to tell if those players will ever put up the production Mack puts up now.
