Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 Bold Predictions for Blake Bortles in 2018

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Blake Bortles Will Throw Career Low Interceptions in 2018

While he has had many issues over his four-year career, the most pressing has to be his tendency for turnovers. However, Bortles turned the corner somewhat in 2017, posted a career low in picks with 13.

In each of the past three seasons, he has decreased his interception total. Following this trend, BB5 will again throw for fewer interceptions than the previous year, I’ll mark him down for 11.

While nobody will confuse him for Aaron Rodgers, this will be another step in Bortles’ development into a legit starting QB. Jacksonville will still facilitate its offense through Leonard Fournette, creating stacked boxes. Couple that with an upgraded offensive line, and Bortles will have his best opportunity for success to date.
