No. 2: Jalen Ramsey Shuts Down One Side of the Field

Jalen Ramsey is a shutdown cornerback.

He had four interceptions in 2017, doubling the two thefts he earned in 2016 as a rookie out of Florida State that season. He has the swagger to light up press conferences and he has the game to back it up too, which is always fun.

I was a former team captain on my high school football team, and we won a championship in my senior season in 1999. I didn’t play much, but I always respected those who backed up what they were talking about.

Ramsey does this.

He also gets into the heads of opposing receivers, such as Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green last season. If you win the mental game in sports, you’ve already won half the battle. Ramsey does whatever it takes to succeed.
