James Jones makes incredibly bold statement about Packers QB Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are heading into the 2020 NFL season with huge hopes and inconsistent expectations. Last season, the Packers finished with a 13-3 record and a trip to the NFC Championship Game. No one knows exactly what to expect from them this season.

Some fans and media members expect the Packers to be one of the top teams in the league once again. Others, however, expect a big step in the wrong direction.

Looking ahead at the upcoming season, Rodgers has quite a few things to prove. For starters, the Packers traded up in the first round to select Jordan Love. It was a move that shook up the entire fan base.

Rodgers has also received a ton of criticism for the way he has played over the last two seasons. He has been called “washed up” and “no longer elite” by quite a few fans and analysis. Former Packers’ wide receiver and current NFL analyst James Jones does not agree with those thoughts.

In a recent quote, Jones boldly stated that Aaron Rodgers will end up winning the NFL MVP award this season. He thinks the Packers’ superstar will dominate the league.

“He is going to win MVP. Aaron Rodgers is going to dominate this season.”

During the 2019 season with the Packers, Rodgers ended up completing 62 percent of his pass attempts for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. Not bad number for a “washed up” quarterback.

At 36 years old, Rodgers still has a lot of good football left in him. He also has a chip on his shoulder and extra motivation for this season. With everyone doubting him, Rodgers has always found ways to step up and silence his critics.

Green Bay may not end up winning a Super Bowl this season, but Rodgers gives the Packers a fighting chance. Anytime he steps on a football field, the Packers have a good chance to win the game.

Expect to see Aaron Rodgers prove a point this season. The Packers need a big season from him and he will come through with one.
