As the Carolina Panthers enter the year with new head coach Matt Rhule, they’re still in the midst of a rebuilding stage that may last until next offseason. Their goal will be to win right away, but with question marks at quarterback and some glaring holes on both sides of the ball, it won’t come easy for this squad.
With the seventh overall selection in this year’s draft, the organization has a few different options to ponder. They could try to move up to grab their quarterback of the future by snagging Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa, or they could stay put and pick the best player available.
Depending on how the early picks of the draft play out, this player could be Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons, Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb or maybe even Ohio State’s Jeffrey Okudah, who the team would surely love to draft if he falls to them.
Without a doubt, Okudah is the best cornerback prospect entering this year’s draft. The Panthers would love to get their hands on him, for obvious reasons.
