Kansas City Chiefs: 3 Best Performances from Week 4 Win vs. Broncos

Through the first four weeks of the 2018 NFL season, only two teams remain unbeaten. One of them is the Kansas City Chiefs, who boast one of the league’s most potent offenses.

Currently, the Chiefs lead the NFL in points per game (36.3), and they’re also eighth in yards per game (410.3) and ninth in passing yards per game (297.3). They have tough matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots looming in Weeks 5 and 6, but through four weeks, they look very impressive.

But despite winning every game to this point, Monday night’s 27-23 victory over the Denver Broncos was arguably the most notable triumph for Kansas City thus far. The Chiefs earned wins over the Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers over the first three weeks, but it took a fourth-quarter comeback to knock off the Broncos in Week 4.

Trailing 23-13 in the final quarter of Monday night’s contest, the Chiefs staged a comeback that included a 2-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce with 6:47 remaining and a 4-yard scoring scamper from Kareem Hunt with 1:39 on the clock.

Mahomes completed 13 of 16 passes in the fourth quarter, engineering TD drives that totaled 135 yards. Thus, he continued to receive most of the headlines after the game. However, he didn’t do it all on his own, as the Chiefs’ other offensive playmakers also stepped up down the stretch.

In addition to the play of their spectacular second-year quarterback, here’s a look at the Chiefs’ three best performances from their Week 4 win over the Broncos.
