3. Pass Catching

Swift had fairly limited work as a pass catcher in college (73 receptions on 96 targets in three seasons). But he averaged over nine yards per catch for his career, with five touchdowns. Over his two seasons with the Chiefs, Williams has average 7.0 yards per catch.

Pro Football Focus grades Swift as the best pass-catching running back in this year’s class. Running backs had a 20.1 target share for the Chiefs last year (112 combined targets). So a more dynamic threat out of the backfield offers the possibility for improvement in that overlooked margin.
