3 reasons the Kansas City Chiefs should target D’Andre Swift in the 2020 NFL Draft

1. An Easy Upgrade

Williams is an average NFL back, and that might be kind. Swift’s explosiveness metrics dropped off last year, but he showed speed at the NFL Combine with a 4.48 40-yard dash and the aforementioned should issue was surely a factor in any drop-off in 2019.

Multiple analysts have Swift as their No. 1 running back in this draft class. For Evan Silva of Establish The Run, Swift’s ceiling is a lofty one-a cross between Dalvin Cook and Alvin Kamara.

If Swift is available at No. 32, the Chiefs will have a strong case to pull the trigger. If they trade out of the first round, and he’s there when they go on the clock with an earlier pick in the second, drafting him will not require much thought.
