Los Angeles Chargers: 3 Best Individual Performances in Week 13 Win over Steelers

3. Philip Rivers

With Drew Brees and Patrick Mahomes dominating the MVP race right now, it is surprising that Philip Rivers has not been at least mentioned in the conversation as well. At 37 years old, he is proving that he has more than enough left in the tank as he is on pace for one of the best seasons he has ever had, which would only cement his Hall of Fame status.

He finished the night 26-36 with 299 yards and two touchdowns. He helped orchestrate his team’s 16-point comeback in the second half and led the drive that ended with Mike Badgley’s game-winning field goal from 39 yards, no 34 yards, no 29 yards out. Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers are on their way to at least a Wildcard playoff berth, but if he continues to play like this, they could be in top spot of the AFC.
