Los Angeles Chargers: 5 Bold Predictions for the 2018 NFL Season

Last season was a disappointment for the Los Angeles Chargers. Los Angeles had the talent on both offense and defense to make the playoffs. Unfortunately, due to unreliable kicking in the beginning of the season, Los Angeles couldn’t recover from an 0-4 start.

This upcoming season, however, is very promising. To go alongside one of the top ten quarterbacks in the NFL in Phillip Rivers, Los Angeles also has one of the best overall rosters in the AFC. Seemingly something that happens every year to the Chargers, the season-ending injuries have already occurred.

Starting tight end Hunter Henry’s season is over after he tore his ACL during a team activity this offseason. A major blow because Henry was their future at the tight end position after they released Antonio Gates this offseason. Star cornerback Jason Verrett tore his Achilles and he also will be out for the season. Verrett hurts a Chargers secondary that was loaded before he went down. But if Los Angeles is able to avoid any more major injuries, they can make major noise within the AFC.

With this much intrigue surrounding the Chargers, I’ve come here to make some bold predictions. Not only bold team predictions but also what some individual players on Los Angeles may be able to do.
