Force Turnovers
In a game that could become a shootout, one turnover can change the whole outcome of the game. The Rams have been pretty good at taking away the ball this year.
They have 12 takeaways this year, which is tied for ninth in the NFL. It’s hard to get turnovers on Aaron Rodgers, but the Rams have the play makers on defense to get it done.
A defense with Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Lamarcus Joyner are going to force turnovers. The Rams also have John Johnson, who is tied for the league lead in interceptions with three.
Here’s one of Johnson’s three interceptions this year.

The Rams are also third in the NFL with just six giveaways. So if the defense gets a turnover, it’s unlikely the Rams give the ball right back with a turnover of their own.
Luckily for the Rams, since the game is being played in Los Angeles, Rodgers is more likely to turn the ball over statistically speaking.
Of Rodgers 79 career interceptions (it’s insane he only has 79), 46 of them have come on the road. What’s also interesting, is Rodgers actually has a losing record on the road, as he is 38-39 on the road.
These numbers can mean nothing though, especially with a player of Rodgers caliber. The Rams will need to be at the top of their game to get takeaways against Rodgers and company.
If the Rams are able to create turnovers, they’ll likely be in a perfect position to win in Week 8.
