Los Angeles Rams: 3 Keys to Victory in Week 9 vs. Saints

Get Gurley Going Early and Often

It goes without saying, that the Rams should continue to run their offense through Todd Gurley. Gurley has been exceptional this year, thus why he is considered a MVP candidate halfway through the regular season.

The Rams running-back has rushed for 800 yards on 169 carries (4,7 yards per carry) and 11 touchdowns. Through the air, he has 31 receptions for 351 yards and four touchdowns.

The crazy stat, is that Gurley has scored more touchdowns than eight teams this season.

Gurley is a one-man wrecking crew, wreaking havoc on opposing defenses. His ability to be a threat in the aerial attack, as well as carry the workload on the ground, is why he is the best RB in the NFL.

For the Saints, they’ll utilize Kamara in a similar role (they also have Ingram who can tote the rock). The Rams will need to match what the Saints game plan will be, hopefully leading to them outscoring their opposition.

With the way Gurley is performing, the Rams can’t shy way from continuing to give him a heavy workload. If he does get plenty of touches, it’s hard not seeing the Rams in a good position to win in Week 9.
