The Los Angeles Rams stay undefeated, improving to 5-0 on the season with their win in Week 5. They defeated the Seattle Seahawks 33-31 in Seattle.
This loss forces the Seahawks to fall to 2-3 on the season, which is good enough for second place in the NFC West.
It’s always sweeter getting a victory over a division rival. The roles have reversed between these two teams in just a few years, with the Seahawks being the top dogs in the NFC West not so long ago.
All Rams fans love the sight of this, especially after a grueling streak of mediocrity since the early 2000s.
It was closer than expected in this game, but a win is a win. The Rams are 5-0 for the first time since 2001. That team made it to the Super Bowl after being 14-2 in the regular season.
The game was going back and forth, with one team needing to make a stop on defense. The Rams did just that, late in the fourth quarter.
In the entirety of the game, the defense didn’t play up to par. I guess a positive sign, is they stood up when they were needed, but they’ll need to make adjustments.
There were a few takeaways that came out of the Rams Week 5 win. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.
